05-12-2019 – Keith Cozort – The Providence of God (PM Sermon)

If you’re visiting with us, we are grateful for your visit would ask you to sign one of the visitors cards on the back of the Pew in front of you should be one there and leave it on the Pew. We’ll collect those when our services are over so that we can ever record of your visit. It’s. And I want us to spend some time studying concerning the Providence of God. The Providence of God. When you look at the word Providence, literally it means provide Ants, Provide ENTs, which simply means the idea of foresight that God, through his foresight is going to provide those things that are necessary. Those things that are desired, and it has to do with God’s intervention in the affairs of life. Amen. I want us to begin first of all, by noticing some false ideas concerning God’s Providence That are out there. The first one is the idea of deism. Deism is the idea that God, in no way, intervenes With mankind, it is The idea that God created the world. They acknowledge the God created the world, but ever since he created the world, it’s been a hands-off policy. He’s had absolutely nothing to do with our world since the time of the creation In promoting that they refer Fuse to recognize. First of all, that the Bible is the revelation of they’ve refused to recognize that Concerning the deity of Jesus Christ deity in flesh, when he dwells Among …

05-05-2019 – Keith Cozort – Worship: Lord’s Supper Part 1 (AM Sermon)

Certainly appreciate you being here this morning. We Such a great, beautiful first day of the week and glad that you are here, Right, Andrew. Again, we do have a potluck dinner that is scheduled for after we are dismissed and everyone is encouraged to stay for that if at all possible. And we made mention Wednesday night that yes, we know that we had one Last Sunday with our gospel meetings, But Larry Turner assured me that he’d be able to handle two in a row. And I told him, I thought I could too. So we’re looking forward to that. He’s already informed me if you see him sneaking out, it’s because of this, he’s already checked things out back here and he said it smells really, really good. And so just, just keep an eye on him, but make sure you’re listening to me. Okay. Okay. I did have a good gospel meeting this last week with bro. The Terry Joe Key. Some of you have asked if I’ve heard anything from him since he left Thursday morning. The answer is no. I Miss announced something Wednesday night, as far as he did not have surgery was not scheduled to have surgery on Friday. He was scheduled for an MRI. 05-01-2019 – Terry Joe Kee – Gospel Meeting (PM Sermon)

And it’s hard to believe that at this point, we are now ready for the final service of this gospel meeting. It seems that time passes so quickly and especially when you’re enjoying and having, I guess, a good time. And I certainly have enjoyed my time here with you. And I appreciate the opportunity of being able to be here. We are with you. We’ve been talking about the church And we spent the last two nights talking about the church. We’ve talked about The fact that you cannot have Jesus without the kingdom. It’s impossible to take one without the other though. Some would seem to want to do that. And we also talked about the fact that The church is here for a purpose and that there are, Are those blessings that we received by being members of the church. And there is indeed the blessing of salvation and the fellowship that we have with one another. The edification that we receive from being members of the body of Christ and our time together, as we labor together in the cause of Christ, Nothing On earth that God has ever brought into existence. He brought into existence without a purpose. Everything has a purpose. Everything has a reason for being here, even at those things that I may not really understand why And may Not understand why it is that those things are here. I can promise You. There’s some reason why Things are where they are …

04-30-2019 – Terry Joe Kee – Gospel Meeting (PM Sermon)

It makes me mad. And so I just want you to know that the a hour and a half long sermon you’re going to have, I’m not gonna mention max by name, but it’s because of max. So just so you know, you think people would be nicer to you when you visited, but y’all, don’t play cards that way here. You, you, I mean, you just, you don’t, but I had a good time with them and was glad to visit with them today. Last night, we talked about the fact that you cannot, you cannot preach Jesus and not preach the kingdom. You cannot preach about Jesus because Jesus left heaven and came to this earth with a purpose in mind. And that purpose was to establish, to build his kingdom. And so the very idea that we could somehow preach Jesus and not preach his kingdom is just ludicrous. It’s it’s, it’s foolish to even think so, and it certainly cannot be done. And so tonight I want to go a little further in that study and I want to ask us why we need the church. You know, people act like the church is not necessary. It’s not needed, you don’t need the church. And from time to time, I’ll have someone that will tell me that they don’t need the church. They don’t have to have church to go to heaven. That all they need is Jesus. And they’ve got Jesus and they have Jesus …
